A baby-steps in Building a Successful Career

A baby-steps in Building a Successful Career

Nowadays its common to see lot of links and messages on social media that advertise on the matters related to employment opportunities. Some of these senders are just scammers who are ready to rip you apart and take away that little money you have saved. I didn't say that all of the advertised jobs in social media are fake or are coming from scammers, no sir, some of them are coming from real organizations and they're looking to hire qualified and experienced candidates like you.

You can avoid to be lied to or scammed by digital-con-artists by doing a simple research on the official websites for the organizations that have advertised for those respective vacant positions. This will save you from a lot of disappointments and headaches, just use google to look for the real job advert and if you think you are qualified candidate for such job(s) you can apply based on the valid information given on the company's website.

It saddens me to read, or hear about people who are getting scammed by digital-con-artists who promise them a connection to jobs if you pay them a couple of bucks, which could be used on other important stuffs that really matter to you.

My personal advice on people who aren't employed but wish to do so is

Don't give bribe of any kind to anyone, just for the sake of a promise like "I can guarantee you an opportunity to get that job"

Please don't hesitate to report things like these to the responsible authorities for disciplinary and legal proceedings can commerce.

It's much, much better to apply for whatever job you are looking for in official channels. This will increase your chances to get noticed, and hired by reputable organizations and it will also reduce chances for you to get scammed if you would decide to click those links sent by scammers or pretenders.

Official channels for you to apply for jobs (full-time, part-time, remote, hybrid) includes:

  • Organization's Official Website
  • Job Search Apps and Websites such as Indeed.com, LinkedIn.com and others to list a few

I wish to tell you a little bit about Job Search Apps and Websites like Indeed.com and LinkedIn.com These two basically offers employment opportunities but they don't serve the same strategic purpose

According to Investopedia LinkedIn is build as an employment-related social network, while Indeed.com is a metasearch engine for job listings.

You need to nourish your account professionally and start to apply for jobs that perfectly align with your passion, skills, and experiences. However in apps like LinkedIn don't just apply for jobs and expect to get contacted by these hiring managers, you have to create value, connect with people and give out your opinions on the matters that need your expertise

Remember that, every expert you see today was once a beginner

Building an audience in professional website like LinkedIn will be difficult but if you give yourself a chance to build your audience in such platform it will open up opportunities that you didn't even thought about. So my take to you is Build audience, through sharing your experience, solving people's problems, celebrating with people when they achieve something great! and whatever that positively add value to the community.
